June was a disaster...I lost my way. I let my priorities get away from me and I focused on too many things that didn't include spending quality time with my husband, kids and friends, weight lifting, eating well or working out regularly. My maternity leave is about to have a mini interruption when I start teaching summer school on July 4th and I think its a perfect opportunity to kick myself back into gear. For the next month I won't have time to waste so I need to be sure to manage my time and energy a little better. It will be an interesting test for when I actually return to full time teaching in February.
To get back on track the plan is simple; step back, take a deep breath and reset. Considering the last time I actually lifted any significant weight outside of a WOD was June 12th (tee hee), I have had to retest and restart my Wendler 531 cycle, meaning my numbers have not changed all that much. To be honest ALL my numbers, including the scale, have been stuck for some time now which means that I need to crack down on my nutrition as well. But with the structure that school will bring to my days I hope that I will be able to live the next five weeks strictly and with maximum amounts of will power. Then we go home to the coast to visit my Grandma and all bets are off :) but that's another post...
Day 2 of the Burpee challenge...I can already foresee this becoming more difficult
