60 Day Summer Burpee Challenge

With the whole summer stretched out before me I started thinking about all the yummy bbqs, lazy afternoons, week holidays and cold beer drinking that will happen in the next two months and I panicked. It might just be the recent "heat" wave that has got me burning up or it might be a case of BURPEE FEVER but I got thinking,  a burpee challenge might be just what I need to combat summer apathy.  

So here is how it is going to work... join along if it is something that interests you...
Today (July 1st ) I am going to start with one burpee and add one for each day for 60 days (Aug 29th )for a TOTAL number of burpees of 1830.  If you are interested in joining me but didn't get the memo till a few days later you can join the challenge by ʻbuying-inʼ, basically you do the total burpees for that day as well as all of the burpees missed since the beginning of the Challenge. 

I won't have to perform all of the burpees at the same time though. To be honest I might have to break them up and do them throughout the day or in different sets.  And I don’t have to do them at the gym.  I was thinking it might be a good break while I am teaching summer school. 

If I miss a day, I have to make them up the next day. For example if I miss day 46, on day 47 I would make up the 46 burpees missed then do 47 burpees.  I am going to really try hard NOT to miss any days! Yikes

I will however be counting the burpees done in a regular workout towards that days total but I won't carry any excess burpees over to the next day.

You will have to take my word for it since its total honour system but if you see me around Ignite flopping around the floor be careful because its contagious....

  2. I am in, Dana.... picking it up late at day 3 but it sounds like a fun way to torture myself for the summer!
